Benefits that agricultural machineries have to offer
In the modern agricultural scenario, agriculture is
incomplete without modern day machineries. Here are lists of few machineries
without which any agricultural work cannot be performed.
· Tillage equipment:
Tillage refers to physical manipulation of soil for getting
the desirable condition of seedbed for having a desirable growth in plant and
seed sowing. Primary tillage equipment and secondary tillage equipment are two
types of tillage.
Primary tillage equipment – Heavy farm tools and
equipment like disc plow, puddler, spades, disc plow and others are used to
open soil in any barren land.
Secondary tillage equipment – These are used to make
soil a lot lighter and friable. These are lighter in nature like spike tooth
harrow, chain arrow and others.
· Seed
driller is used for placing seed in a uniform manner while controlling the
depth of the soil. It is equipped with fertilizers.
·
Planter – Different kinds of planters have been
introduced for agricultural purposes and are drawn by bullocks, tractors or are
manual type. These automatic or semi-automatic equipments opens furrow, covers
device along with ridge maker in one single unit.
· Irrigation equipment
Varieties of irrigation implements are beneficial for
irrigation, depending on the farm operator’s financing ability and suitability.
Sprinkler, submersible pump, irrigation and others are useful for irrigation
purpose.
· Threshing and harvesting equipment
Machines like mowers, reapers, threshing machine are used as
harvesting and threshing equipment. Mowers are used for cutting herbage
grasses, crops. Reaper, on the other hand is beneficial for harvesting cereal
crops, at ground level. Threshing machine is used for detaching the grains from
harvested crop and then separate clean the the threshed grain from chaff
without causing any damage to the grain. Another is combined harvester, which
is beneficial for separating, cleaning, harvesting and collecting grains while
it moves over land.
· Tractors
A tractor is the first machinery required by a farmer for
farming. This vehicle is beneficial for drawing purpose, i.e, pulling and
pushing. Tractors are also useful for other varied purposes like carrying and
delivering heavy loads.
·
Harvester
A harvester refers to an agricultural machine that cuts and
collects crops like maize, wheat and vegetables.
· Sprayer
The vehicle is an important tool for spraying chemicals like
fertilizers such as fertilizer spreaders.
