Benefits that agricultural machineries have to offer


In the modern agricultural scenario, agriculture is incomplete without modern day machineries. Here are lists of few machineries without which any agricultural work cannot be performed.

·      Tillage equipment:
Tillage refers to physical manipulation of soil for getting the desirable condition of seedbed for having a desirable growth in plant and seed sowing. Primary tillage equipment and secondary tillage equipment are two types of tillage.

Primary tillage equipment – Heavy farm tools and equipment like disc plow, puddler, spades, disc plow and others are used to open soil in any barren land.

Secondary tillage equipment – These are used to make soil a lot lighter and friable. These are lighter in nature like spike tooth harrow, chain arrow and others.

·      Seed driller is used for placing seed in a uniform manner while controlling the depth of the soil. It is equipped with fertilizers.

·         Planter – Different kinds of planters have been introduced for agricultural purposes and are drawn by bullocks, tractors or are manual type. These automatic or semi-automatic equipments opens furrow, covers device along with ridge maker in one single unit.

·       Irrigation equipment
Varieties of irrigation implements are beneficial for irrigation, depending on the farm operator’s financing ability and suitability. Sprinkler, submersible pump, irrigation and others are useful for irrigation purpose.

·      Threshing and harvesting equipment
Machines like mowers, reapers, threshing machine are used as harvesting and threshing equipment. Mowers are used for cutting herbage grasses, crops. Reaper, on the other hand is beneficial for harvesting cereal crops, at ground level. Threshing machine is used for detaching the grains from harvested crop and then separate clean the the threshed grain from chaff without causing any damage to the grain. Another is combined harvester, which is beneficial for separating, cleaning, harvesting and collecting grains while it moves over land.

·       Tractors
A tractor is the first machinery required by a farmer for farming. This vehicle is beneficial for drawing purpose, i.e, pulling and pushing. Tractors are also useful for other varied purposes like carrying and delivering heavy loads.

·         Harvester
A harvester refers to an agricultural machine that cuts and collects crops like maize, wheat and vegetables.

·        Sprayer
The vehicle is an important tool for spraying chemicals like fertilizers such as fertilizer spreaders. Some of its applications include pest control, fertilizers along with weed control chemicals.
